Runway Fashion Show
Harlow College Fashion students wowed guests at their end of year Runway Show on Thursday 25 June at the GlassBox Theatre, where they raised a total of £240 for Breast Cancer Research as they strutted their stuff down the catwalk.
The show, kindly sponsored by The Water Gardens, ran over two evening performances, showcasing themes such as burlesque, bespoke luxury, mythology and Swan Lake.
Nicole Tandy, 17, who used the theme of 'Bespoke Luxury' said: "It's such a great feeling seeing your garments on the catwalk after putting in such hard work. I was even chosen for the highly commended award, which I am so proud of. I'm going on to study the new HND in Fashion at University Centre Harlow to continue in the industry."
Alexandra Terris, 18, who introduced her 'Burlesque' collection, is going on to study Fashion at Southampton Solent University. She said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed the past two years on the course as well as learning a huge amount about the fashion industry. Seeing my collection come down the catwalk was a very proud moment as it displayed all the skills I learnt over the past two years and all the hard work I put in."
Proud course leader, Shelley Clarke said: "This year's Runway Show has yet again provided a range of innovative and highly intricate collections. The graduating students have once more raised the standards with their commitment and passion."
