Harlow College has been awarded significant funding by the UK Government to support Harlow residents by investing in skills, local business, the local community and by supporting people back into employment or helping to further their career prospects, in a project which will run until December 2022.

The project, which is unique to Harlow residents, aims to improve the prosperity and productivity of Harlow and support the town’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic through providing adults with access to good quality information, advice and guidance as well as financial support with the tuition costs of higher-level training courses.

The project is for adults wishing to develop their skills to gain employment or for those already in employment looking to progress their career. The College will manage a training voucher scheme providing up to £1000 for each learner, making training available to many people who would otherwise have been unable to access it due to the cost of tuition fees. 

What does this mean for me?

If you’re looking for work, want to find more stable, better paid employment or want advice about getting qualifications to access further training or jobs, book a free IAG one-to-one appointment with our IAG Team. Our advisers will work with you to create a Career Plan and we may be able to help you with a grant of up to £1000 towards the tuition fee costs of your next training course.

Within your IAG appointment you will receive expert, impartial advice and guidance from our highly qualified IAG advisers who will look at all the options and opportunities available to you. Together, you and your adviser will create a Career Plan to help guide you through the stages of achieving your career goals.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
  • Aged 19+
  • Resident of Harlow
  • Working in Harlow
  • Unemployed or employed
  • The course(s) you wish to study must be one of our eligible Level 3 courses, although we can include Level 2 courses in particular areas of skills.

What courses are available with my training voucher?

All courses listed below are available via the UK Community Renewal Fund with Harlow College. These part-time courses are accessible with your free training voucher which provides you with a £1000 contribution towards the cost of your chosen course.
