    Future You personal development programme. Brought to you by Bright Futures Training Centre in Harlow, this program is designed to help young adults (ages 18-24) build the skills and confidence to start a fulfilling career.

    What to Expect:

    • Empowerment: Build the confidence to secure meaningful employment.
    • Showcase Your Skills: Participate in a Reverse Jobs Fair to present your talents directly to employers.
    • Industry Insight: Visit local companies to gain firsthand exposure to potential workplaces.
    • Hands-On Training: Practice mock interviews to prepare for real-world opportunities.

    Held three days a week at Bright Futures Training Centre, this programme offers practical experience and qualifications that will set you apart in the job market.

    Programme Highlights:

    • First Aid at Work
    • Drug and Alcohol Awareness

    Entry requirements

    Learners should have basic IT skills, including the ability to open a web browser, work with Microsoft documents, and download/upload files to a specific location. No formal qualifications are needed, though applicants will need to complete initial English and math assessments to confirm their suitability for the course.

    Learners must be unemployed and in receipt of benefit or earning under £25,000 per year.

    Must have a National Insurance number.

    Must have been a UK resident for the last 3 years or proof of right to education.

    How much does it cost?

    Free if in receipt of benefits or earning under £25,000 per annum. 

    Who is it suitable for?

    18-24 year olds who need support with their next step in finding employment. It is designed to equip them with essential skills for personal and professional development. This program offers a blend of practical training and theory based classroom lessons aimed at enhancing employability, leadership, and well-being.

    How will I be assessed?

    Various assessment methods dependent on the qualification:

    Level 1 Award in Customer Service

    This qualification has a written question and answer exam

    Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness

    Level 1 Extended Certificate in Employability Skills

    Level 1 Award in Progression

    These qualification are all assessed through activities carried out in class and evidenced through completion of online work packs.

    Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

    This qualification is a practical assessment where learners are required to show competency of skills and a multiple choice exam.

    Leadership and Team Skills

    This part of the qualification is assessed through online essay questions.
