About the course
Location: Stansted Airport College
Stansted Airport flies to 190+ destinations and serves over £25million passengers per year and is expanding rapidly resulting in a demand for skilled cabin crew. This qualification will help you to gain an understanding of the role of cabin crew and provide you with the practical and technical skills to be able to progress into a career with a top airline. You will gain an appreciation of the terminology used within the industry as well as an understanding of the essential behaviours expected of future employees.
This course is for Adults looking to progress their careers in the aviation industry, looking to change career and work in the industry or Aviation enthusiasts wanting to gain a greater understanding of the Aviation industry and how it operates.

This course is for Adults aged 19+ only.
How long is the course?
Start Date: 7th November 2024
End Date: 27th March 2025
18 weeks
1 evening per week: Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm
How much does it cost?
The fee for this course is £750
All fees are free if you are:
- Unemployed, in receipt of benefits and looking for work, or
- Are in work and earn less than £25,000 a year.

Where will this course take me?
You can progress into employment as a flight attendant with a top airline. There are also a range of alternative roles across the airport that you could take up including Security Officer, Airline Customer Service Agent, General Operative airside, Flight Operations Agent and many more.
How will I be assessed?
Learners will be assessed on Coursework and Role plays.
As well as attending face to face classroom sessions, there will be a requirement to complete approximately 4-6 hours of independent study each week.
The course consists of 6 Mandatory Units:
- Workings as Cabin Crew
- Airline health, safety and security
- Aircraft emergency situations
- Dealing with passengers on-board an aircraft
- Cabin service - selling techniques
- Making passenger announcements on-board aircraft
Additional Info
Industry Standard Airline Cabin Crew requirements apply if the individual wishes to pursue a career in this field. E.g. Able to swim 25m unaided.
