This programme is a practical, work-related course. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations. You will learn by completing a variety of practical and theory assessments that are based on realistic workplace situations. It covers the basic underpinning knowledge and technical practical skills needed to be an Automotive Technician. The programme provides a good foundation for future careers opportunities or progression on to a more advanced work-related qualification.

Who is it suitable for?
This course is for candidates wanting to develop some of the key skills and understanding in motor vehicle systems.
Successful candidates will have the basic skills needed to apply for an automotive apprenticeship or similar engineering pathway. These qualifications could also be used as an ‘interest’ course for a wide range of learners.

How will I be assessed?
Delivery Mode: Practical workshop activities, formal lectures, daily target achievement, use of specially designed learning materials, individual study, modular, within and outside programme hours.
Assessment Mode: You will be assessed via direct Observation (Practical) along with undertaking Multiple choice online exams.
