About the course
This course will give students the potential opportunity to progress to the level 2 qualification in business, or to develop skills that will be valuable in a variety of full-time employment opportunities.

BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Business
How much does it cost?
Age 16-18 free. 19+ will require an employer's contribution. There is a range of financial support that you may be entitled to, including: Learner Support funds, grants and bursaries and employer support. £90 per year to cover cost of educational visits, guest speakers and workshops, plus your own equipment and textbook.

Why study?
The course will revolve around the organisation of an event.
Units B5: Finding out about businesses in your area, and B9: Presenting a business idea, and A4: Researching a topic, will develop students creativity and the process in developing ideas.
Unit B7: Branding a product and B8: Creating a visual display, will give students an insight into marketing in business.
Unit B10: Contribute to running an event, will develop students ability to react to pressures during an event.
Units A1: Being organised, A2: Developing a personal progression plan, A3: Working with others, and B6 Organising a meeting, will develop students own skills and abilities that will be beneficial in future education/careers in business.
