Level 1 Mental Health Awareness: Gain up-to-date insights into mental health and its impacts on those you may support. Topics include:
- Defining mental health
- Recognizing social and personal effects of mental ill-health
- Awareness of responses to mental health issues
- Understanding cultural diversity in mental health
Level 1 Introductory Award in Health and Social Care: A recognized qualification that strengthens your foundational knowledge and prepares you for a career in health and social care. It covers:
- Personal progression planning
- Effective communication in health and social care settings
Level 2 Dementia Awareness: Obtain current knowledge on supporting clients with dementia, with topics such as:
- Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in dementia care
- Person-centered care for individuals with dementia
- Dementia awareness essentials
- Understanding communication factors affecting those with dementia
This comprehensive course is your first step toward a meaningful role in healthcare.
Entry requirements
No formal qualifications are required but learners will be required to undertake initial assessments in English and maths.
Learners must be unemployed and in receipt of benefit or earning under £25,000 per annum
Must have a National Insurance number
Must have been a UK resident for the last 3 years or proof of right to education
