    About the course

    Bricklayers develop skills that can be used worldwide. In the UK, efficient and qualified bricklayers will typically earn between £100 - £150 per day. The Level 2 Diploma will enable you to develop and hone your skills in the craft of bricklaying and will enable you to experience all aspects of the craft. You will also gain a greater understanding of the construction environment.

    Entry requirements

    Successful completion of Level 1 Diploma in Brickwork, proven good attendance and a good reference from your tutor.

    How much does it cost?

    Free to 16-18 year olds. Reduced fees may be available for 19+ learners.

    Who is it suitable for?

    Students who have completed a Level 1 course in bricklaying and those keen to embark on a career within the construction industry.

    Why study?

    You will experience practical workshop training, designed to develop your practical skills to an industrial level.This will be supplemented by related knowledge assignments, coursework and tests to develop your understanding and knowledge of the craft.

    Skilled trade's people are currently in high demand across the country.

    There are approximately 3 million people working in construction making it one of the biggest industries in the country and covers 10% of the total job market.

    This course is a practical based course where we embed as much of the knowledge into the practical tasks as possible. This minimises the amount of time spent in the classroom.

    We use a range of delivery methods, mainly practical, with a large proportion of E-Learning through IPads and other technologies.

    The qualification we offer is globally recognised and sought after in the industry.

    Where will this course take me?

    Progress onto the Level 3 in Brickwork or an Apprenticeship, with the ultimate aim of a career in the building industry.

    There are excellent progression routes to apprenticeships with a large number of our full-time students moving onto apprenticeships during their course based on our recommendations.

    If you're aged 19 or over and you want to study A Levels, an Access to Higher Education Diploma, or a Level 3 to 6 Vocational Qualification, you could be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan.
