About the course

The qualification has been designed for those who have an interest in the media and are looking to explore and extend their interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience. The course covers a range of disciplines from film and television, social media, marketing, and photography, among others. Many students have identified a specific career in the creative industries that they wish to progress to using this qualification as a starting point.

Entry requirements

4x GCSE at grade 1 or 2 or equivalent ideally including English and Maths

How much does it cost?

Courses are free to 16-18 year olds. Reduced fees may be available for 19+ learners. Stationery, memory stick or hard drive.

£50.00 charge for visits and resources.

Why study?

You will study a range of practical work including film and tv, photography, social media, research and advertising, which will open doors to several areas of further study.

The qualification is made up of seven units include the final major project. All units relate to the creative media sector, all are delivered through vocational learning.

The Level 1 Multi Media course has been designed to provide the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of media related subjects, including games design, website design, social media, film, TV, radio, journalism, animation sound engineering and career pathways.
